We have a combined Medical Surgical Unit. When we have higher volumes of COVID, we cut those ratios down to about 4 patients per nurse.

We have a standard MedSurg unit. Our dayshift is 5:1 with CNAs at 9:1; and nightshift is 6-7:1 with CNAs at 11:1. This is applicable for all seven days.
